How conversation becomes result

How a conversation becomes a piece of work — and how that piece of work becomes a result. We are deliberate about how engagements begin, what they cost, where they end, and how they are judged.

How engagements begin

Every engagement begins the same way. A partner-level conversation, by phone or in person, thirty to sixty minutes, no charge, no commitment. We listen first. If we believe we can be useful, we send a one-page proposal — scope, deliverable, fee, timeline — within three working days. If we do not believe we can be useful, we say so, and where we can, we suggest someone who is.

What an engagement looks like

Most engagements progress through four steps. A strategy diagnostic of four to six weeks; an execution roadmap and business case of eight to twelve weeks; a program leadership phase that runs anywhere from six to twenty-four months; and, often, a sustaining advisory relationship that continues quietly for years.

Each step is contracted separately. There is no obligation to take the next one. Clients who choose to continue do so for reasons stronger than a contract clause.

How we are judged

Our work is judged by the growth it makes possible — not by the elegance of the architecture or the volume of the deliverable. At engagement start we agree, in writing, the commercial and operational outcomes the work is meant to enable. At engagement close we revisit them. If the engagement has not moved them, we say so.

How we price

We use four pricing models, deliberately. Day rates for individual mentoring and short expert input. Fixed fees for diagnostics and scoped roadmaps. Monthly retainers for board advisory and sustaining engagements. Outcome-based pricing for transformation programs and M&A integration, where the value created is large and measurable.

INDICATIVE ENGAGEMENT BANDS

Strategy diagnostic €30,000 – €60,000 (4–6 weeks, fixed)
Execution roadmap & business case €80,000 – €200,000 (8–12 weeks, fixed)
Board advisory retainer €8,000 – €20,000 per month (rolling)
Architecture mentoring €3,000 – €8,000 per month per mentee
Transformation program leadership €500,000 – €3,000,000 (program duration)
M&A integration €150,000 – €800,000 (per deal)

These are global indicative bands. Final fees vary by partner seniority, geography, and engagement complexity. We discuss fees openly in the first conversation and never at the fifth.
